This client had always dreamed of having a home theatre and had just completed a renovation of his home so he called us in to get the room finalised.
They had already purchased the speakers so for this job we completed the wiring and supplied a 120” fixed screen with an Epson 9400 projector, with audio routed via a Denon AVR- X1700. We also installed a split platform for tiered seating which will be from our custom Manhattan theatre seat range, with ambient step lighting. We also completed the painting, carpeting, and curtain installation.
Curtains can improve your home cinema room’s audio
Curtains are a great aesthetic addition to any cinema room and also help improve the acoustics by limiting the sound waves bouncing around the room. Bare walls can distort your bass and lower midrange frequencies, while making certain notes louder and others much quieter. The result is poor audio, with unclear dialogue, bright and/or harsh treble, muddy or boomy bass and echo. This is where acoustic room treatments like heavy, thick curtains can help.

Epson EH-TW9400 DLP projector
An award-winning DLP projector that scores highly based on its ability to handle HDR, vibrant colours and excellent sense of depth. DLP projectors have higher light output than a LED projector, which is enhanced by Epson’s 4K Enhancement pixel shifting technology, which basically makes any input look like high resolution 4K.
Grandview 120” Fixed Acoustical screen
so no one misses any of the action. This screen has a unique woven structure which is 4K compatible for the truest, most vivid and dynamic images. It is also an acoustical screen, which means the fabric helps to absorb sound in the room, not reflect it.
The Denon AVR-X1700H amp
This is a powerful 7.2 channel receiver that delivers immersive sound with support for popular audio formats including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced. It has built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AirPlay 2, allowing for easy streaming of music from your smartphone, tablet or computer. With 6 HDMI inputs and 1 output, the AVR-X1700H can connect to multiple devices simultaneously, while also supporting 4K Ultra HD and HDR video.
